Lower Fields Primary School
Nature area
Lower Fields Primary School has extensive grounds which they are using to extend their classrooms into an outdoor activity centre.
A neglected nature area was transformed as part of the E Schools project as well as development of a horticultural area.

Horticultural area
This contains grow beds for the whole school, an air-flow tunnel, a fruit orchard, a cottage garden bed, annual beds, herbs and soft fruit.

Gardening Club
Meet Mondays after schools and the children are involved in a variety of tasks from growing
vegetables, flowers and trees to maintaining the school's nature area.
The children have won prizes for many years at the West Yorkshire Organic Show for a variety of produce.
