Denholme Primary - developing the grounds around their very own wind turbine

Not every school has their own wind turbine – Denholme are very lucky to have such an amazing eco-feature! Children from this school have been working with Habitat Heroes on the ground around the turbine, planting wildlife friendly plants and developing a ‘sensory garden’, a brilliant educational resource full of different sights, smells, textures and tastes which is also ideal for attracting butterflies and other insects. There are also plans to create a wildflower meadow.
