Aim: To ensure Forest Schools training and professional development takes place across Bradford.

We have been commissioned by Workforce development to coordinate the delivery of the level 3 Forest Schools training.  We will not be running the training ourselves but we will be buying in accredited trainers.

In 2011/12 the training will be taking place at Black Hills Scout Camp, in Cottingley, which is a location we have used many times.  It has a great training area and most importantly has a large mixed woodland with several fire pits.  If you are interested in applying for the training course please contact Jen on 01274 223236 or Jen@bcep.org.uk.  The deadline for application is Friday 23rd September 2011.

Professional development, mentoring and CPD

BCEP have many qualified Forest School Practitioners and we are able to come out to your setting and offer guidance and support on implementing Forest Schools in your setting.

We can support you with:

  • Risk assessments
  • Site improvement
  • Reviewing and reflections
  • Support of a qualified Forest School worker so the group can legitimately be called ‘Forest Schools’.
  • Additional resources

We can do this informally on a one to one basis or with a group of practitioners or support staff.

We have also received additional money to run some CPD sessions for already trained practitioners.
