BOCS (Bradford Organics Composting Service)
Aim: To put Bradford's organic resources to work through the creation and operation of a anaerobic digestion and composting facility.
BOCS is a social enterprise, owned by BCEP, which is developing the following services in Bradford:-
- Food waste recycling collection service for households

- Commercial food waste recycling collection service for businesses
- Green electricty and low level heat production (CHP)
- Produce compost for landscaping
- Garden waste disposal service for landscapers
Food waste will be shredded, blended digested to creat bio-gas. The bio-gas will power a turbine to produce susatinable electricity and low-level heat. Solid outputs from the digester will be composted in-vessel. BOCS will be working towards the quality standard of PAS 100 for its compost.

Other benefits of BOCS will be the creation of new jobs and in the future BOCS aims to donate a proportion of its profits to BCEP.
