We work to improve:
Our environmental education programmes are concerned with learning outside the classroom, teaching awareness and understanding of biodiversity and other themes in tandem with the curriculum. For more information, visit our Habitat Heroes page.
Local food growing
We have several programmes which promote the huge health benefits of growing, and eating your own food. They work with community groups, local allotments and in schools to show people how easy and cost-effective it can be to grow healthy and nutritious food. To learn more, why not visit our Gardening For Health and Wibsey Park Community Garden pages.
The improvement of local green spaces and meeting areas can have a huge impact on the community. Creating or rejuvenating spaces for people to meet, learn and have fun in is the main focus of our Urban Design Team. Bradford RePaint also play a huge part in helping people fix up local community spaces, and also provide painting materials at low cost to those on a low income.
Environmental play helps children develop and use their imagination, learn to play with others and develop motor skills. Scrap Magic uses recycled materials to allow children to play and explore in their own way.
