BCEP gains Investors In People status again!

Where does the time go, it is three years since BCEP first gained recognition as an Investor In People. To retain the quality mark BCEP was re-accessed by Grant Hamilton of Yorkshire and Humber Investors In People on the 19th of July and I am pleased to announce that his assessment was favourable.

Here are some highlights from the Assessment report:

“As previously discussed ongoing development is also excellent and inherent in everything the Organisation does in order to meet the needs of the people and community which it serves.”

“The Organisation has developed a much more robust planning and review process, adopting the balanced scorecard and this has enabled a more forward looking approach to business and has identified key threats to the sustainability of BCEP.”

“At the initial assessment there were many issues raised around communications and
involvement of staff and these have been addressed through the regular diet of meetings, away days and 1-1’s which take place within the Organisation.”

“People also felt that their efforts are valued and recognised and again this is more positive than before. I feel that this is because expectations of people have now been more clearly set and this enables people to take ownership and accountability for their project or role within the Organisation.”

“Having carried out the assessment process rigorously and in accordance with the guidance for Assessors by Investors in People UK, I am satisfied that Bradford Community Environment Project meets the requirements of the Investors in People Standard. I am pleased to recommend to the Yorkshire and Humberside Recognition Panel that Bradford Community Environment Project should be Recognised as an Investor in People.”
