Junk Percussion Performance at the Mela
Posted by ape, July 16th, 2010
This June saw a fantastic performance from Bradford Action for Refugees childrens group at the Mela!
The percussion show was performed using only junk materials. These were sourced by Scrap Magic and with Adventurous Play Experience staff they were helped to transform them into percussion instruments.
Musical expertise was provided by Bradford Education who worked with the children over 8 weeks to put together the performance and practice ready for the Mela.
The performance was a great success and the children had a great time performing to proud family members and the public who couldn't believe the instruments were made from junk.
