Allotment Celebration Day 2009

Our Allotment Open Day was a real celebration of all the hard work put in by local schools and community groups during the year!

 

The sun shone, and over 250 children came to take part in the festivities. As well as harvesting, cooking and eating a wide variety of produce from the plot, they had an exciting range of other activities to choose from as you can see from the pictures below.
Thanks to our volunteers, our colleagues from APE and WASPS and from partner organisations ArtWorks and Kala Sangam for their contribution to the day's activities and to Paula Solloway for taking the photos.
